How long do you keep songs/project files?
We are not under any obligation, nor do we guarantee the storage of songs/files/projects after sending out your song(s)/files/project(s) to the email provided to us at the end of your session. Make sure to give us your correct email at the end of your session so we can get all your files sent out to you. If you notice you never received your files please contact us immediately after your session so we can resend them to the correct email. After the song(s)/files/project(s) are sent to your email provided to us we are under no obligation to store any song(s)/files/project(s). If you do lose your files, please feel free to contact us so we can do a search to see if we still have your song(s)/files/project(s) stored. Do note, although we are under no obligation to store your files after sending them to the provided email, we do not typically delete any song(s)/files/project(s) unless they are over 6 months old and we need the extra storage.
How long is the turn around time for my song to get mixed/mastered?
At New Cut Recordings we do things a little differently to help reduce costs for our clients. We do all of the mixing and mastering free of charge and during your time booked so you will leave with a song ready to release; As long as you allot enough time for our engineers to mix and master your song(s) before your session time is up. If your session ends before we are able to complete mixing and mastering the song(s) you will need to book another session so we can finish mixing/mastering the song(s).
Can I book a session shorter then an hour?
We do not offer any sessions shorter than an hour. If you finish tracking all of the tracks needed and all you need is us to finish mixing and mastering the song(s) we do offer remote mixing and mastering @$1.25 a minute.
Do you offer stem mixing/remote mixing, and remote mastering?
We do offer stem mixing/remote mixing, and remote mastering. Most studios charge a flat rate per song, or a rate per stem and we understand charging a flat rate for something like mixing or mastering can be very unfair to clients, especially if all you need is one vocal track mixed with a 2 track instrumental; So we charge $1.25 a minute for stem mixing/remote mixing, and remote mastering.
