Tanner's musical journey began at the age of 6 when he started playing guitar by ear learning songs from the video game 'Guitar Hero'. By the age of 10, he developed relative pitch and started performing with his band(s) around Maryland. At 16, Tanner discovered his passion for audio engineering and quickly gained a reputation in high school as the go-to person for producing high-quality music. He eventually quit his day job and started New Cut Recordings, offering radio-ready music at competitive prices. The studio's success can be attributed to Tanner's consistent, clean, and clear mixes and masters.
Tucker Utz started his music career as a teenager, finding a nearby studio that later became New Cut Recordings. With the help of Tanner Kelley, Tucker immersed himself in music, saving up money from various jobs to record at the studio on weekends. As time passed, Tucker and Tanner became friends and worked together, improving different areas of expertise. At 17, Tucker's interests shifted to music engineering, and with Tanner's guidance, started working at New Cut Recordings. Tucker has developed his own unique style for his mixes and masters that all of his clients love which has made him a standout engineer at New Cut Recordings.
