Tanner started learning how to play guitar at the age 6, using his ear to learn how to play songs from the video game 'Guitar Hero'. Four years later, he developed relative pitch at the age of 10 and began
playing shows around Maryland in his band(s).
At the age of 16, Tanner took interest in audio engineering and has never looked back since. After earning a name for himself in High School as 'The guy to go to if you want your song to turn out how you picture it in
your head', he quit his daytime job and opened New Cut Recordings with the goal to make radio-ready music for the best price in Maryland. If there is any reason as to how New Cut Recordings has picked up so much traction
in its short time being open, its due to his consistent, clean and clear mixes/masters for the best possible pricing.
Gavin Hollywood started playing music in the third grade at his Pasadena, Maryland elementary school. He began officially working with music in January 2016 as a hip-hop instrumental producer. Since 2016, he has branched out to recording his own music and mixing it in his bedroom.
In early December 2021, Gavin, who had planned to go to a recording studio to record a freestyle, met Tanner Kelley and Tucker Utz. He fell in love with the environment instantly
Upon recording and uploading his first song, 'Headshot Freestyle' under the name 'Double', he received positive feedback, and decided to continue to create music.
In early 2022, Tanner, who had taken an interest in Gavin's history as a musician and musical engineer, extended an offer to him to be employed as an audio engineer at New Cut Recordings. After training with both Tanner and Tucker, he was hired in early April 2022 as an audio engineer.
In a short amount of time, he has worked with multiple promising artists while continuing to build upon his own career as a professional artist.

Tucker Utz began his musical career as a young teen by finding a nearby studio that has since become New Cut Recordings.
With the help of Tanner Kelley and the pairs' creative minds, Tucker immersed himself in the world of music, saving up his money from his various jobs to record his music in the studio on the weekends.
As time went by, Tucker and Tanner became friends and began working on music together, helping each other improve in different areas of expertise. At the age of 17, Tucker's interests shifted to focus on music engineering.
He began creating bedroom mixes at his own home, trying to teach himself how to mix his own vocals. With Tanner discovering Tucker's liking to the engineering aspect of music, he began giving nightly lessons to Tucker,
preparing him for his future engineering career. As the lessons continued, Tucker improved rapidly. Tanner, being a new business owner, offered his friend a chance to quit his job and become an engineer.
With some hesitation, Tucker took the risk and began working at New Cut Recordings, where he is now skilled in mixing many different genres of music and glad to work with any artist who is wanting to make an
industry-quality track.
